ulu pork v2.0: MAC (mad) PARTY!

you know when i was young, i ALWAYS wanted to have a macdonalds birthday party but at that time, macdonalds was considered a luxury (to me lah at least) so i can only watch those happy kids in macdonalds having party while i stared outside the windows.. (sounds so damn pitiful)

however! i finally have the chance to be a kid once again (but a little old, at age 18) but who cares! 11 of us once again convert ourselves into childish and noisy kids at kovan mac! the whole macdonalds celebration was quite last minute. initally we wanted to have a BBQ. although i managed to book the BBQ pit, no one was able to prepare the food, pit and charcoal (all of us are working/studying) and so... we called it off. i even sms wanlin's gf to ask her not to ask wanlin out for celebration on 8th june cuz we wanted to plan the BBQ for her and the once-again-blur me sms wanlin instead. so, wanlin knew that 8th june there's going to be some sort of celebration.. though we didnt say what will it be.

besides the celebration, we made gigantic cards for jinpei and wanlin too. our meeting point is at kim's house and i think i went there thrice or 4 times lah. but wanlin and jinpei, you guys ought to know a few facts abt the cards.

1. got 1 day after work, xingxiu and me chionged out of the office at 6pm to kim house cuz we wanted to finish the card asap. we were told that 153 will bring us to hougang central from toa payoh and xingxiu and i blindly boarded the bus without checking out the direction. in the end we ended up at queensway instead! by the time we reached kim's house it was already 8.30 lah!

2. most of the time when we were at kim's house doing the cards, kim is either nuaing on her bed, listening to her mayday songs, chatting online (with jinpei) while the rest of us were doing. but but but, kim also did her part lah! she did the wonderful things and she provided the VENUE to make the card.

3. i went down to macdonalds on monday to book the party and i saw my jc friends there. can you imagine how embarrassed i was! HAHAHA. moreover the manager was super AP lah but luckily auntie susan rocks!

4. the 'green' theme was suggested by mdm yeow THE NIGHT BEFORE the celebration. and also, i sent all of them emails regarding the program but on the actual day when kim msg me and told me jinpei wore green, i wondered did i accidentally send the email to you also. and also when wanlin reached kovan and she told me she was in green, i almost died lah can.

5. the mac party has fixed timeslots, either 3.30pm or 6.30pm. i had a hard time trying to talk to the manager to shift it to 7pm, then 7.30pm but we reached at 7.45pm instead. hahahaha

6. auntie susan was more excited than me when she heard that it's going to be 11 adults at the party instead of kids.

haha well, i'm very very happy and relieved that the party was a great success! everyone enjoyed the pathetic happy meals, the super sweet and creamy cakes, lame games like memory and jigsaw puzzle, but we had loads of fun! it's been long since we made so much noise without feeling guilty! the screams, the 'huat ah' cheer and the 'loser' cheer! we must organise one chicky club birthday celebration NEXT! hahahahahaha!!! (i actually sms xiu and suggested to her 'cheeky' club instead of 'chicky' and i insisted i never spell wrongly)
