yo peeps! i'm back from hk in 1 piece :D

the purpose of this trip is to accompany my sister.. she wanted to have a short getaway and if i don't accompany her, she would have gone herself, which is very wasted since she has to pay for the twin room. and luckily we book the tickets 1 week before the trip cuz air tickets were damn cheap! i only paid $500 for a cathay ticket with 6 nights accommodation! the last time i went there, i paid $500 alone for a SQ ticket. moreover, i had a free disneyland ticket this time round.

anyways, i spent almost $1k on shopping alone. that is very very bad considering i was back from bkk less than 3 weeks ago. ahahahaha. as hk's standard of living is much much much much higher than bkk and singapore, my shopping limit exceeded way beyond my expectation. a shirt cost 100 baht (S$4) in thailand but in hk, if i can get anything at HK$100 (S$20) i am considered lucky. i bought myself 5 tops from h&m young (kids!) at 50% discount - the best buy, 2 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of slippers, at least another 7 tops from miscellaneous shops (ranging from S$6 to S$200 LOL), a pair of specs... i think that was it. wanted to get a dslr there cuz it is about $200 cheaper but apparently hkers are so into cameras that they only sell the latest gadgets and i was not willing to pay $1.1k on the latest canon camera (which cost $1.4k in sg).

just imagine if i got the camera. i will be.. starving myself for the next semester. hahahaha.

didn't eat any dimsum there. quite loser i know but i was not a fan of it anyway. was very very sick of the food by day 2 cuz the macaroni from the chachanteng was so strong in flavour (aka salty) that aggravated my sore throat and ulcer. i was soooo sad cuz that means i cannot eat my favourite yu dan and mango dessert from xu liu shan! =(=( i drowned myself with 5 bottles of water daily and finished an entire bottle of pipagao in 2 days but to no avail! i was soooooooo disheartened because i was really disciplined and hope to recover in time but NO! by day 5, i was eating yu dan and xu liu shan like no tomorrow. the best thing was, i recovered immediately after i woke up the next day when i reached singapore. what is this manzzzz!

i did not take many photos ard hk because this time round i was really into the shopping there. everything is so niceeee, esp the street wear! omg omg. and i made a distinct discovery. hkers are really hip and fashionable people. they are so into fashion that they must have the latest designs of everything, including luxury items. they will not wait for sale (unlike us) and everyone has at least 1 branded bag/wallet/shoes/accessories/specs/etc with them. and most of them are using iphones! my sister and i are so paiseh that we didn't dare to expose our phones! hahaha..

this time round, i visited disneyland! it wasn't very impressive though i cannot remember much about japan's disneyland but japan's was definitely a lot bigger. i've not been to escape theme park or wild wild wet so i cannot describe to u the exact size. but i went to mickey's house and everything was so cute inside! and i managed to take a photo with mickey and minnie. that was probably my happiest moment. hahahaha. photos on facebook =)

oh, i experienced typhoon warning signal no. 9 on my last night there. the max warning signal was 10 and by signal no. 8, all public transport will stop and flights will be cancelled, banks and stock exchange will close for the day. i was so worried that i couldn't make the home the next day! i was like some kuku staring hard at window to witness how wrong the wind is by observing how violent the trees are moving (cuz everytime on tv the trees are shaking very very violently!!!). quite lame i know. hehe. the best thing is, i was still happily shopping at mongkok when the signal changed to number 8 :D but everything seems to be normal except for the rain. and there is no thunder or lightning there!!! another lame observation.

well well, i really enjoyed the shopping there this time round. chatted with the cheapos earlier on and they are planning a hk trip this year end! imagine if i went for the trip in january (if i didnt fall sick), i would in hk 3 times this year! my sister advise me not to go cuz everything there will be winter clothing but i wouldn't mind eating yu dan and xu liu shan though. hahaha. well, it depends i guess.

yes, i'm looking forward to the upcoming events like liverpool's match, xx's and charmaine's party!! heard that there will be another yep outing but wonder will it materalise though. i reallyyyyyyy love this holiday!
