小叮当, 大雄 and 宜静

i have forgotten i am a big fan of 小叮当 and co for a long time.... until my friend posted a video about why 小叮当 became blue and has no ears.

anyway to cut the story short, 小叮当 used to be yellow and has a pair of ears just like his sister Dorami.


but 1 fine day, a mouse bit his ears away and after he discovered that he has no more ears, he was so emo when he stared at the mirror that he turned blue (colour for emo).


IT'S TRUE!

hahaha. but there is another alternate explanation that he was so sad cuz he got no ears and he cried for 3 days and his tears worn off his yellow paint.. n became blue cuz blue is his base coat.



HAHA.

but anyway, i started googling for more doraemon stuff and found 3 endings to the series! it is SO SO SAD! :(

ending 1:

actually 大雄 is an autistic child and he had a fantasy that 小叮当 is his friend. but it was all his imagination.

sad factor: ********

ending 2:

大雄 hurt his head and needed an emergency operation to save his life. however, the cost is too high and the family could not afford it. as a result 小叮当 sold all the gadgets in his pocket to fund for the operation. however, the operation was a failure and 大雄 became a vegetable. 小叮当 was devastated. suddenly he remembered their 时空门 so he went into 大雄's mind asking him where would he like to go.. and 大雄 said 'heaven'.

ending 3:

大雄 is still leading the same lifestyle - not doing his work, getting bullied by his 2 friends, fantasizing about being together with 宜静 and so on. howover 1 fine day, 小叮当 laid motionlessly on the floor and no matter how 大雄 called/shouted/kicked him he would not respond. he was so scared that he travelled to the future to look for dorami for help. before dorami finished hearing his story, she grabbed 大雄 back to the present and examine her brother. to her horror, she found out that 小叮当 ran out of battery and has to replace it if not 小叮当 will not react again. however, replacing the battery will mean that all the memories between 小叮当 and 大雄 will be erased and dorami asked 大雄 if he is okay with losing all the memory. 大雄 is not willing to lose all the great memories he had with 小叮当 and hence he left 小叮当 as it is.

actually, 小叮当 can be "charged" but because he has no ears (got bitten away remb?) thus the battery needs to be replaced. over several occasions, dorami also nagged at her brother to travel back to the future to do "check-up" regarding his battery and parts whether they are functioning well but 小叮当 was not willing to go for the check-up as he wants to look after 大雄.

fast forward 10 years later, 大雄 came back from abroad together with his wife 宜静. he is a very successful man - he went to the top college and received scholarship to study overseas. currently he owns an electronic company specialising in robotics. all these years, he kept 小叮当 in his favourite corner (the cupboard) and told his friends that 小叮当 went back to the 21st century... he never talked to anyone about 小叮当 again.

the truth is, 大雄 is determined to fix 小叮当 without losing the precious memories they shared. he studied very hard, topped in his class for all subjects, topped his high school and college and got a chance to head overseas for further studies. upon graduating, he immersed himself with all possibilities to fix 小叮当 with the help of his wife 宜静 and he finally found a possible solution.

before he switched the button, he teared. this is because if he fails...

he will lose all the memories he shared with 小叮当...
he will be back to square one - the lazy, "stupid" and a 10 year old cry baby...
his hard work will be wasted...

and so.. he pressed the button.........................

however, we will never find out which one will be the ending because the creator of 小叮当 藤本弘 (Hiroshi Fujimoto) has passed away in 1996 but i would rather none of the 3 mentioned above to be the truth :)
