sweet (and not so sweet) memories

i was frantically trying to squeeze space for my TYS/prelim booklets the other day. due to the existence of scarity, the opportunity is to discard some rubbish which i don't even know they still exist. looking back at them now, time really flies.

i saw bowen secondary school fullscap papers all over the rack. out of curiosity, i began reading and saw familiar terms like "education in spore". what strikes me immediately is "GENERAL PAPER!" but how do i account for the 'bowen secondary school'? then i read on.. it talks about national loyalty, social cohesion, economic development... so GP-ish. then i tried to recall if i used it during first 3 mths in mj. but then, we were given mjc fullscap and i used them i thought? aiyoh, just WHAT THE HELL those notes are?

so i read on..... (it is 4 sheets actually) and i FINALLY RECOGNISED IT when i saw the 'WHY WORK' attitute! hahahaa.. it's social studies! i still remembered how all of us (everyone in 4e3) was trying to spot the correct topic to do for o level. i think it is 'swizterland', 'japan' and what's the last one? i still hate source-based cuz i forever cannot pass. actually, i think i screwed up my elective geography paper too, but how on earth did i manage to get a a2 when i nv get anything beyond c5 in bowen?

next up, it's all kim's geog stuff environmental and coastal tutorials. she dumped them to me cuz she no longer needs it. sorry kim i'm discarding them away cuz i realised i kept them too hahahaha! but i still have ur coastal notes with me cuz mine is all soaked in milo-peng. hahahaha!

haha! this one is funny. i actually kept the recipes sumayah gave us for f&n lessons! they include banana hoon kueh, kueh koswee, ondeh-ondeh and yam cake, beef casserole, lemon chicken, steamed tofu, mango mousse etc etc. i cannot remember how to make any of them now all returned to sumayah. but i can still recalled all of our banana hoon kueh failed! it was AS HARD AS ROCK. all of us were laughing like crazy when (i think) charmaine ate it cuz she was soooooo excited then she give tt kind of :S expression. AHHH I MISS COOKERY ROOM (though it is dirty, has many cockroaches, need to scrub the stove area cuz sumayah is lazy, unhygenic cuz of ms quek)

wah i cannot believe this! i still have mr michael's comprehension notes! no idea why i only have 2 pieces left, eh i also found the 'situational writing'! something like functional writing? cannot really remember. see, what we used to learn are not appliable to our a level or beyond. screwed up education system PUI.

omggg, my stack of geography notes! chap 2 on agriculture, chap 3 on wet rice cultivation, chap 4 on manufacturing, tourism. wahseh! and i still have the horrible handwriting of mdm lim's! hahaha..

awww, it was 2 yrs ago when i first experienced mugging. but this time round, it is infinity times harder than o level. crap. if you think o level is hard, a level is hell! HELL HELL! no one will tell you a level is smooth-sailing cuz, 2 yrs is short and the contents is so heavy, at the same time u need to deal with pple who backstab/bitch behind u. but a level course is not that bad afterall, cuz it trains you mentally and physically (u get less than 5 hrs of slp during sch days?)

well, i really hope i nv scare away any o level takers out there (eileen i am refering to u! hahaha) a level may be difficult but it is still the most direct way to enter local uni. but one suggestion/advice, DON'T CHOOSE MJC AS YOUR CHOICE. u'll suffer more. hahahaha. (pls refer to 2 entries before this)

anyway, i am really sick of junk mails terrorising my inbox everyday. the worse thing is, they are dirty mails!

prelims in 2 days! (i assumed today has ended). hohohoho. :D 20% done?

had consultation with mr chen today. i think 1/2 of the time 2 of us were trying to tease each other. firstly, he teased me by saying tt "i heard you have a geog tutor from rjc". then i agreed. still trying to find out which big mouth told mrs chua. i think i can identify the culprit easily cuz the person has a size XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL mouth. next up, i asked whether is he excited since today is the BIG DAY. hahaha. he appeared to 'heck care' but i think he is secretly um-chio-ing (grinning). then he started asking which secondary i was from and i said bowen. he added "ya that sch used to be in ang mo kio right? with that grey blouse n bottom, and a RED tie. hahahahaha" (ya he laughed!) "AND THE STUDENTS THERE WERE HORRIBLE!"

i added: "yaya, even the discipline mistress were scared of the ah bengs then! my cousin was a ex-bowenian n i think he was 1 of the ah beng. he knows danapal leh!) and when i was in sec 1, it was rumoured that danapal is going to retire the end of this yr! but what the hell, after i graduated for 2 yrs she's still inside!!!!"

old jokes about bowen. awww. sweet sweet sweet memories, the stupid rules and corrupted system (internally is super corrupted as prefects are paid to 'cancel' detention off for students, teachers are promoted very quickly if they are very close to HODs, etc etc.) no matter how i hate the system and some teachers, the school is still great! literally u play everyday! after sch, lets take 502 n go orchard! after sch, watch movie/eat etc, anything except studying. mjc (or any other jc), after lesson everyday "GO HOME AND STUDY/COMPLETE TUTORIALS/CONSULTATIONS"

typical day! so fun! luckily for me, it is drawing to an end. this journey was not pleasent at all, maybe for a few days of fun (maybe during first 3 mths, i smiled/laughed alot more).
